As you pursue Passionate Purpose, you become aware that organization is fundamental to achieving your ultimate goals. Although organization is instrumental, of even more importance is faith – DOUBTLESS FAITH.

  • doubt-less (adv) \ˈdoutlis\ – A desirable outcome as if it were certain; certainly; undoubtedly; surely; assuredly
  • faith (noun) \ˈfāth\ – Something that is believed, especially with strong conviction; firm belief in something for which there is no proof; complete trust

Your Gifts Will Make Room For You

I want to redirect you back to the Official Passion Series verse – Proverbs 16:3. “Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.” (KJV) What exactly does this mean? Before I answer that question, let’s go back to our first vlog post, Connecting Passion & Purpose. We must first know what our “works” are designated to be. They should be a God-given purpose, Passionate Opportunities, a goal that so strongly resonates with your soul that you know it MUST be a pre-destined purpose for you to fulfill – and yes, they CAN be areas in which you are fervently and passionately in love with. In a transitional period in your life? Take time to speak with God to ask Him “Lord, what are my next steps?” Now that we know what our works are to be, let’s move on to how God will establish us. If we are working towards passion, but doing it selflessly – we passionately care about the outcome, the end result of who and what we are to affect – we should offer up our passion, our thought processes, and our “works,” our labor, as if we are working for God. Let God be your boss, and you will begin to see some incredible things unfold within your life.

In A Nutshell: Selflessly trust God with your life, your passion, your organized process, and your soul and He will make room for your success, your passionate desires, your elevation, and dynamic testimony to those whom you are to affect. Let Him work out the details, and you’ll do just fine!

Faith As a Grain of Mustard Seed

Wow! Incredible so far, eh? Let’s dig a bit deeper and discuss DOUBTLESS FAITH. I am going to introduce a new verse into Passion Series which will be our official verse for 2012 – Matthew 17:20 “…for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you.” (KJV)

Did you hear that? Nothing shall be impossible to you – well, that’s if you believe wholeheartedly with Doubtless Faith! This is incredibly powerful, yet incredibly revealing – we can sometimes be our worst enemy because of our lack of faith! Our unbelief towards even our own personal interests can stifle our progress and results – that’s serious business! Sometimes we mistake intense worry for faith. We spend so much time worrying about scenarios and practically begging God for deliverance it just seems that since we’ve spent so much of our time, thoughts and energy that we must be acting within faith. Um, NOT! What God is telling us is that if we would push aside every thought that would come to mind, every obstacle that falls in our path, every negative word that is spoken to us that would cause our belief in His promise to be deterred even for a second, our passionate works paired with our pre-destined purpose would come to pass because we’ve pushed away the “blinders” that cause our faith to be weakened. Whew! Ever start a new business, want a new car, prepare for that new house, heck – even that fine pair of shoes – and begin to wonder “Where is the money going to come from for me to achieve even my smallest goal?” The point is that we shouldn’t be worried about how it’s going to happen or if it may in fact happen at all, but we should trust that our God-given “works,” passions and desires will come to pass without a shadow of a doubt. Now go back up to the top of this post and commit those definitions to memory!

This is where “faith as a grain of a mustard seed” comes in. Do you realize how small a mustard seed actually is? It is between 1mm and 2mm wide – that’s like the tip of a ballpoint pen, smaller than your pupil, the size of lint on your white tee! If a mustard seed is planted in the right conditions (ie, if our “works” or heart, passion is planted with God and doubtless faith in mind) it usually takes between three and ten days to germinate (ie, the emergence of a plant from a seed, growth)! So if we establish both our works and doubtless faith that our passionate desires will come to pass, God will move on our behalf in NO-TIME FLAT! But we must remain resilient, steadfast, unwavering in our faith, and even if struggles last for a so-called “lengthy” amount of time, we will suddenly look up and we will be firmly rooted and growing vigorously because of what God has done and not because of the busyness of our own thoughts and “organizational processes.”

In A Nutshell: Let go of everything that has consumed you and your thoughts which have resulted in absolutely no movement within the Passionate Purpose God desires for you. Develop a tunnel vision approach when it comes to faith that God will allow your desires to come to pass. Don’t look left; don’t look right; don’t entertain nonsense; jump over hurdles; and finish the race with passion, because 2012 is the foundation for your best LIFE ever!
